Privacy Policy
Kanbeat collects no data. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising, and it never connects to the internet.
What Kanbeat stores, and where
Everything you put into Kanbeat (projects, issues, comments, attachments, settings and
backups) is stored in one place: the app's own folder on your Mac,
~/Library/Containers/com.anshulkumar.kanbeat/. It never leaves your Mac unless you
export it or copy it yourself.
What is shared, and with whom
Nothing, unless you connect an AI tool (below). Kanbeat sends no data to us or to anyone else, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.
AI tools you connect
Kanbeat can work with Claude Code and Codex, AI coding tools you install yourself. Nothing is connected until you press Connect in Settings → Agents. To set a tool up, Kanbeat asks once for access to your home folder and writes that tool's own settings files there. Disconnect, in the same place, takes them out again.
Once connected, the tool reads and changes your board through a private connection that Kanbeat opens on your Mac alone (127.0.0.1). Nothing outside your Mac can reach it, and it needs a key that only those settings files hold.
What a connected tool reads from your board, it may send to its own AI service (Anthropic for Claude Code, OpenAI for Codex) as part of your work with it. That is governed by that service's terms and privacy policy, not by Kanbeat. Kanbeat itself sends them nothing.
If you have chosen in macOS to share crash reports with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. That choice is yours, in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your Mac for as long as you keep it. To delete it, delete the items inside Kanbeat, or remove the app and its folder named above. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete and no consent to withdraw.
Children
Kanbeat collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
